Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving Honor Two Seniors Against Oakland

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State fell to Oakland 217-78 on Senior Day inside the Busbey Natatorium on Friday evening. During the meet, the Vikings honored their two seniors; Agnes Bahr and Emily Deitz.

  • Rachel Contich (200-yard Freestyle/1:54.23), (500-yard Freestyle/5:05.66)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Mackenzie Lipnick was the runner-up in the 1000-yard freestyle, swimming a 10:43.02.
  • Contich won a pair of events on the evening, 200-yard freestyle (1:54.23) and 500-yard freestyle (5:05.66).
  • In the 100-yard backstroke, Caroline Hughes came in second, finishing in 59.44.
  • The Vikings went second and third in the 50-yard freestyle with Reagan St. Clair (24.68) and Deitz (25.00).
  • Brooke Eichel placed third in both diving events.
  • Lauren Lewis finished second in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking a 2:06.53.
  • In the 200-yard breaststroke, Kellsie Krisch took the second spot, touching the wall in 2:23.29.

Cleveland State will swim for the final time before the Horizon League Championships tomorrow in Athens, Ohio against Ohio and Bowling Green. The meet is set to start at noon.
