2020-21 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
Placed fifth in the 100 backstroke at the Horizon League Championships with a time of 56.69…Took tenth in the 200 backstroke (2:04.17) and 200 IM (2:04.76)…Competed in all four dual meets during the season…Won the 200 IM against Buffalo and UIC…Took the top spot versus Notre Dame in the 100 backstroke.

2019-20 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Scored in a pair of individual events at her debut Horizon League Championships … Posted new personal bests in all three events she swam at HL meet … Took 10th place at league meet in 200 back in 2:03.82 (2/22) … Finished in 13th place in 200 IM at HL meet in 2:06.62 (2/20) … Also just missed scoring in 400 IM at league meet, posting time of 4:39.29 (2/21) … Competed at National Invitational Championship, where she reset career best in 100 back (57.81) with lead relay leg (3/12) … Swam in six individual events, adding 50 free, 100 back and 100 fly, to those above, while competing in all 10 regular-season meets.

Pre-CSU
Finished in the top 16 in state meet in 100 backstroke twice … Was a team captain for Clarkston … Posted top times of 58.39 (100 back), 58.12 (100 fly) and 1:56.67 (200 free) in high school … Competed with Liquid Lightning for four years on club circuit and was a sectional qualifier … Graduated with cum laude honors in high school.

PERSONAL
Daughter of Ted and Jeni Hughes … Has an older sister, CJ … Born March 17, 2001 … Sports management major … Her grandfather, Ron, won two Super Bowls as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers front office.
