Cleveland State Softball Set For Three-Game Road Series at Robert Morris

Pittsburgh, PA-The Cleveland State softball team continues a six-game Horizon League road swing with a three-game weekend series at Robert Morris. The Vikings are 10-5 in the league standings and currently tied for third with nine league games remaining.

Cleveland State has won three straight league series and four of five on the season. Three of those four series wins have come on the road.

Becky Hurosky enters the week with momentum after picking up Horizon League Softball Player of the Week honors for her performance this past week. Hurosky hit .556 with 10 RBI and three runs scored last week.

Melissa Holzopfel has been dominant in the circle throughout the past few weeks. She tossed a no-hitter last Tuesday in a 10-1 win over Purdue Fort Wayne. It was her second career no-no and was the first of four straight victories for Holzopfel last week.

The series has been adjusted to a Saturday/Sunday schedule due to weather in the Pittsburgh area. All three games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live stats will be available for all games. Saturday will feature a doubleheader with the first game starting at 2:00 p.m. with the series finale scheduled for Sunday at Noon.
