Cleveland, OH-Becky Hurosky has been named the Horizon League Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced today. This is Hurosky's second league weekly award and her first this season.

Hurosky had a big week swinging the bat for the Vikings in helping Cleveland State to a 5-1 record against league foes Purdue Fort Wayne and Detroit Mercy. She hit .556 for the week collecting 10 hits in 18 at bats.

Hurosky drove in 10 runs and scored three times over the six-game week. Hurosky also clubbed two home runs, increasing her total to three on the season. She leads the team with 20 RBI.

Hurosky and the Vikings are back in action on Friday as Cleveland State visits Robert Morris for a three-game series. Cleveland State is 10-5 in league play and is tied for third in the league standings.
