Cleveland State Softball Travels to Youngstown State for Weekend Series

Youngstown, OH-The Cleveland State softball team is in the home stretch of the Horizon League season with three critical games at Youngstown State set to begin this afternoon.

The Vikings have two series remaining in the regular season with the final home series set for next weekend against Robert Morris.

The Vikings are 10-7 in the league and currently in fourth place in the standings. Youngstown State is next in fifth place at 8-8. The top six teams make it to the Horizon League tournament, scheduled for May 10-13. A series win for either team will go a long way towards solidifying a conference tournament berth.

The two teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. EST this afternoon. The second game will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The third game of the series has been shifted to Saturday with a 2:30 first pitch due to weather in the area on Friday.
