Hurosky Named #HLSB Player of the Week

Cleveland, OH-Becky Hurosky has been named the Horizon League Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced today. 

Hurosky had a great week at the plate for the Vikings, helping Cleveland State finish 4-2 last week. The Vikings have won four consecutive Horizon League series and sit in second place in the league standings headed into a showdown with first-place Oakland this weekend. 

Hurosky hit .350 for the week (7-20) and hit safely in five of the six games. She drove in eight runs and scored three times. 

Hurosky also clubbed her first two home runs of the season at Purdue Fort Wayne. She hit a three-run shot in game one and a solo shot in game two to lead the Vikings to victories in the first two games of the series. 

Hurosky ranks second in the league with 18 RBI in league contests and ranks sixth with a .619 slugging percentage in conference play. Hurosky is also tied for first in doubles with five. 

The Vikings travel to Oakland for a three game series starting Friday, April 21st at 3:00 p.m.
