Huntington, WV-The Cleveland State softball team is in action again this weekend at Marshall. The Vikings will play five games as part of Thundering Herd March Madness, a tournament weekend hosted by Marshall.
Due to weather, the schedule has been adjusted. The Vikings will take on the host Thundering Herd in the opening game of the tournament this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Cleveland State will also match up against Rider and Winthrop as part of the tournament weekend.
Cleveland State will take on Rider on Friday morning, and will see Winthrop twice, once on Friday and once on Saturday. The Vikings will conclude the weekend with a matchup against Marshall on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings are 4-11 on the season coming into the weekend and looking to build momentum headed into conference play. This weekend is the second-to-last non-conference weekend tournament before Horizon League play begins on March 24th.
