Cleveland State Softball Picked Third in #HLSB Preseason Poll

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State Softball team was selected third in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, the league announced today. The poll is created based on a vote amongst the head coaches of the nine softball teams within the league. 

Oakland is picked to win the league, followed by Robert Morris. The Golden Grizzlies received eight of the possible nine first place votes. The Vikings are third with 61 total points, just behind RMU and well ahead of fourth place Green Bay. 

The Vikings return a solid core from a team that finished with an 18-8 league record a year ago. Cleveland State opens the regular season on Friday, February 17th as part of the JU/UNF Invitational in Jacksonville, FL. The Vikings play their first home game on March 24th, which is the Horizon League opener against IUPUI.
