Becky Norris Resigns as Head Softball Coach at Cleveland State

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State University Director of Athletics Mike Thomas on Tuesday announced the resignation of head softball coach Becky Norris, effective June 30.

"We want to thank Coach Norris for her service to Cleveland State University over the last five years and wish her well in her future endeavors," Thomas said.

"I have valued my association with Cleveland State University for the last five years and appreciate the opportunities that have been given to me," Norris said. "I have been able to enjoy outstanding relationships with colleagues, alumni, the community and most importantly, the student-athletes who have been dedicated to the program."

During her time at CSU, Norris led the Vikings to three berths in the Horizon League tournament. In addition, she coached five first team All-Horizon League performers, four players who earned second team honors and two all-newcomer team selections.

Norris also coached Cynthia Woodard (2015) and Erica McNew (2016) to Horizon League Player of the Year honors.

A national search will begin immediately to identify CSU's next head softball coach.
