Vikings Fall to #4 Tennessee to Open Play in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Cleveland State opened the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Classic on Wednesday afternoon, falling to fourth-ranked Tennessee, 12-0.

CSU is now 8-11 this year.

Macy Kaisk and Mel Woodard had hits for the Vikings, while Bailee Gray had a stolen base.

The Volunteers, who have advanced to the NCAA tournament in each of the last 14 seasons, scored three in the first inning, added five in the second and four more runs in the third.

CSU continues play in the event with two games on Thursday. The Vikings face North Dakota at 5:00 pm ET and host Hawaii at 10:00 pm ET.
