Cleveland State Women's Soccer Tripped up by Purdue Fort Wayne, 1-0

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Cleveland State (3-6-1, 0-2-1) was shutout by Purdue Fort Wayne (5-3-3, 2-0-1) on Thursday evening by a line of 1-0.

The contest moved into halftime scoreless with the Mastodons holding a 5-4 advantage in shots.

Purdue Fort Wayne netted the only goal in the 69th minute as Morgan Reitano scored on a corner by Morgan Gallagher.

The Vikings were outshot 12-11 but held a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. Kathryn Ramicone fired off three shots, all of which were on target. Erica Leinweber was close behind with two shots.

Liv Fain finished the game with four saves in goal.

The Green and White return home on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. to take on Oakland University.
