Cleveland State Women's Soccer Welcomes Transfer, Jordan Novak

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's soccer program and head coach Dallas Boyer have announced the signing of transfer student-athlete Jordan Novak to the roster for the spring.

Novak is a defender/midfielder that grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, and spent her freshman season at East Carolina University before deciding to join the Vikings during the semester break.

Head Coach Dallas Boyer said, "I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to bring Jordan back home.  She's someone I had the opportunity to get to know well from our original recruitment of her a few years ago.  I have always really enjoyed her skill set and the positive influence she has on the game. She was a starter and significant contributor on her Internationals club team that made a run to the ECNL national championship game, and on a field loaded with Power 5 talent that day, Jordan was one of the very best players.  Her versatility gives her several different opportunities to make us better in different positions either at different spots along a back line or in midfield."

Novak attended Strongsville High School, where she was a four-year Academic Award recipient and was in the Honors Diploma program of study. She played for Internationals Soccer Club, anchoring the middle of the defense as the club competed in the ECNL Ohio Valley Conference. Novak went to multiple US Youth National Team ID trainings as well as the ODP Region II ID camps.

Novak is the daughter of Amy and Dan Novak and has two sisters, Lauren and Maddy.
