Cleveland State Women's Soccer Ties Purdue Fort Wayne in Season Finale

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State drew with Purdue Fort Wayne (9-3-6, 5-1-4) 1-1 on Wednesday evening in the season finale.

THE GAME
Purdue Fort Wayne netted the lone goal of the first half in the 19th minute as Bella Reitano scored off a throw-in by Kelsey Gallagher. Each team attempted four shots as the Green and White trailed 1-0 at the break.

The Vikings dominated the possession in the second half, outshooting the visitors 10-0. Erica Leinweber evened the game in the 71st minute with her fourth goal of the year off a through ball from Grace Krosky.

Cleveland State held a 14-4 advantage in shots while each team had two corner kicks. Emma Pompo and Leinweber had three shots apiece to lead the game. Liv Fain made one save on the evening.

The Vikings season concludes with a 7-6-4 overall record and a 4-4-2 league record.
