Cleveland State Women's Soccer Uses Big Second Half to Defeat Robert Morris 2-1

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Vikings (7-6-3, 4-4-1) used two second-half goals to defeat Robert Morris (7-6-4, 1-6-2) 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Cleveland State wraps up the regular season at home on Wednesday with a huge league game at 7 p.m.

THE GAME
Robert Morris nearly opened the scoring in the 25th minute as Emily Rocco's shot went off the post and out of play. Four minutes later, the Colonials took a 1-0 lead on a Haleigh Finale penalty kick.

RMU nearly doubled the margin in the 33rd minute as Renae Mohrbacher's shot hit the post and was cleared out of play. The Vikings went into the half trailing 1-0 with Mayra Sesmas accounting for all four Green and White shots.

Cleveland State drew even in the 57th minute as Kathryn Ramicone tallied an unassisted goal. Grace Krosky then scored the game-winner in the 77th minute with an unassisted goal as the Vikings won, 2-1.

Sesmas led the game with five shots while McKenna Donahue and Erica Leinweber had two apiece. Liv Fain picked up the win in goal after making five critical saves.
