Cleveland State Women's Soccer's Battle against Penguins Ends in a Draw

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team ended its Sunday matinee match against the Youngstown State Penguins in a 0-0 draw.

THE GAME
Sunday's contest was evenly matched as Cleveland State and Youngstown State each recorded four shots during the first 45 minutes. At the end of the match, the Vikings had 16 shots to the Penguins 10.

YSU held the advantage in saves, tallying 13 to Cleveland State's three, while also holding the advantage in fouls (11-6).

Grace Grant registered four shots, including three on-goal, while Ja'Maya Ward saw two shots (both on goal), as did Maddie Young. Essence Canady, Grace Krosky, Maia Ranson, Brooke Kelly, Bella Ceepo and Cassidy Lewis each notched one on-goal shot.

Kyla Valaitis saw three shots, saving all three.
