Cleveland State Women's Soccer Lands Two on All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Cleveland State women's soccer goalkeeper Stevie Holbrook and defender Lina Feltovich have been named to the 2020 Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the League announced Tuesday afternoon.

"Stevie and Lina's recognition in being selected to this year's Horizon League All-Academic Team is so meaningful," said women's soccer head coach Dallas Boyer. "To navigate this unprecedented year and still maintain these impossibly high standards for themselves despite the circumstances, both on the field, and more importantly in the classroom, is amazing – especially in their very difficult academic programs as Lina pursuing her Accounting & Finance degree and Stevie accomplishing all of this while in Law School! They're both leaders for us in several ways, and this proof of their real commitment to academic excellence is certainly one of them as they represent the program and its values constantly.  We are very proud of them again today for their earned recognition."

Holbrook, who is currently in law school, owns a GPA of 3.87. A seven-time member of the Cleveland State Dean's List, the Huron, Ohio native is also a five-time member of the Horizon League Honor Roll. Holbrook ended her Green and White playing days this spring, finishing with 14 career clean sheets – good for second-most in program history. This past season, the goalkeeper appeared in nine games (all starts), recording 30 saves.

Feltovich is a three-time member of the Cleveland State's President's List, appearing on such list in every semester of her Cleveland State career. The sophomore defender has a perfect 4.0 GPA as an accounting major. A member of the Fall 2020 Horizon League Honor Roll, Feltovich appeared, and started in, eight of the Vikings 10 games this season, recording assists in back-to-back Cleveland State wins: March 24 vs. Green Bay (4-2), March 30 at Robert Morris (3-0).

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and be a starter or key reserve.
