Last season, Perez logged 1,096 minutes, scoring one goal with an assist. She played in all 18 games with one start, scoring the game-tying goal as the Panthers battled to a 1-1 draw against Xavier (Agu. 27) and adding an assist in Pitt's 3-1 victory over Detroit Mercy (Aug. 30). Perez played a season-high 101 minutes in the finale against Boston College (Oct. 26).

In 2016, Perez appeared in 14 games, including 11 starts, and was one of eight Panthers to play more than 1,000 minutes (1,020). She notched her lone point of the season with an assist against Xavier. Perez started all 18 games in 2015, playing 90 minutes or more in 10 of the final 12 matches. She tallied her lone goal of the year against NC State and was also named to the Steel City Classic All-Tournament Team.

In her first year at Pitt in 2014, Perez started the first four games before an injury cut her season short.

A graduate of Howland HS, Perez was a four-year letterwinner in soccer, but did not play her senior year due to injury. In three years on the field, she totaled 47 goals and 27 assists and was a two-time first team All-Ohio selection as well as a two-time District 1 Player of the Year (2011, 2012). A three-time all-region and all-district honoree, Perez was the team's Most Valuable Player in each of her three years that she competed. As a junior, she scored 21 goals with 15 assists, leading the squad to a 16-3 record and a spot in the regional finals. She was the 35th ranked player in the Great Lakes Region.

The Vikings begin preseason training at the end of the month and will host Buffalo on Aug. 7 at 2:00 pm for its first of two exhibition matches. CSU will travel to Duquesne on Aug. 11 for a 1:00 pm exhibition before hosting Howard on Aug. 17 at 7:00 pm in the regular season opener.
