CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team closes the 2016 season on Friday (Oct. 28) when the Vikings play at Milwaukee. Kickoff is slated for 8:00 pm ET.

The Vikings enter the season finale with a 5-11 overall record and 2-6 in the Horizon League. Milwaukee is 11-4-2 overall and is in first place in the League standings with a 7-1 mark for 21 points. The Panthers are two points ahead of Northern Kentucky (6-1-1) in the race for the top seed.

The Vikings split two matches last week, earning a 2-1 victory at Youngstown State on Wednesday before falling to Green Bay, 2-1, on Saturday in the final home match of the season.

In the match at YSU, the Vikings rallied with two late goals to claim the win. Ashley Thiss scored at the 71:01 mark, while McKenna Vento scored the game-winning goal just eight minutes later.

CSU took a 1-0 lead versus Green Bay as Toni Dickson headed in a goal with just seven seconds left in the first half, but the Phoenix tallied a pair of second half goals to claim the win.

Katie Bainbridge had an assist in each of the games last week and leads the team with three assists this year.

Friday's match will be the final one for CSU's six seniors - Megan Barrick, Sarah Kaiser, Jane Piontowski, Marissa Sarsfield, Kaila Sargema and Haleigh Shingary. The group was honored prior to Saturday's match against Green Bay prior to the final home match of their careers.
