THE OPENING KICK:
• Cleveland State returns home for two matches this week to start a three-match homestand.
• The Vikings will host Wright State at 7:00 pm on Wednesday (Sept. 28) and will welcome Northern Kentucky to Krenzler Field for a 4:00 pm contest on Saturday (Oct. 1).
• Saturday's game will be a doubleheader with the CSU men hosting Green Bay at 7:00 pm.
• The Vikings are 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon League after earning a 3-2 victory in overtime at Oakland on Saturday.
• Wright State is 3-6-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the League, while Northern Kentucky enters the week at 5-5 overall and 1-1 in League play.
• The Vikings are 3-9-1 all-time against Wright State and 1-1 vs. Northern Kentucky.
• Saturday will be the first-ever game for the Norse in Cleveland. Last year, CSU won at NKU in the regular season, but fell in the first round of the Horizon League Championship.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK:
• CSU earned a 3-2 overtime victory at Oakland on Saturday night in its lone match last week.
• It was CSU's first overtime match of the season after CSU posted a 1-1-1 mark in overtime games last year.
• Bianca Sarti scored in the 23rd minute to knot the match at 1-1, but Oakland scored just before halftime to take a 2-1 lead.
• Kaila Sargema tied the match at 2-2 just five minutes into the second half and Ashley Thiss scored the game-winning goal just two minutes into overtime.
• It was CSU's first-ever victory over Oakland in five all-time matches (1-3-1).
FREE KICKS:
• Saturday's 3-2 overtime victory at Oakland was the first time the Vikings didn't earn a shutout in a victory.
• CSU owns non-league shutout wins over Canisius, Niagara and St. Bonaventure this year.
• Senior Kaila Sargema scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season on Saturday night at Oakland.
• It was Sargema's 16th career goal, just four shy of moving into a tie with Natalie Daniels (2008-11) for second place on the all-time list at CSU.
• Sargema is also third in school history with 36 points.
• Junior Jamie Daniels is second in the Horizon League in both saves (45) and shutouts (3).
• Daniels has made at least six saves in four matches this year.
• Daniels, Sargema and Toni Dickson are the lone players to start all 10 matches this year, while a total of 10 different players have appeared in every match this year (Katie Bainbridge, Maren Melnick, Stacie Morris, Briana Niedermeier, Marissa Sarsfield, Ashley Thiss, McKenna Vento).
