FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Cleveland State shot a final round 338, the same score the Vikings shot in yesterday's first round, and tied for fifth place of 10 teams at the IPFW Spring Invitational that concluded on Monday.
The 36 hole event was played at the par-71, 6,042-yard Pine Valley C.C.
Sophomore Madeline Kaminski was CSU's top finisher, firing back-to-back rounds of 83 to tie for 16th place at 166.
Sophomores Shelly Ford and Micaela Cronin both shot 83-87 (170) and tied for 22nd.
Junior Ariel Sparrow tied for 27th with rounds of 90-81 (171), while junior Lisa Barber tied for 50th after rounds of 89-94 (183).
Playing as individuals, freshman Colleen Miller tied for 44th place (83-96 - 179) and sophomore Steff Camarata was 49th with a total of 182 (93-89).
Leila Marquet of Lewis won a playoff against Darin Pinnick of Indianapolis to earn medalist honors at 158.
Indianapolis won the team title with rounds of 322-318 (640) to outdistance second place Chicago State (327-335 - 662) by 22 shots.
SIU-Edwardsville was third at 671, while IPFW was fourth at 374. CSU and Valparaiso tied for fifth place (676) and were followed by Lewis (680), Detroit (685), Nebraska-Omaha (687) and Green Bay (704).
Cleveland State will be out of action until April 14-15 when the Vikings compete at the Bowling Green Invitational. It will be CSU's final tournament before the league championship.
