Cleveland State Women’s Golf Wraps Up Horizon League Championship

Howey in the Hills, FL-The Cleveland State women's golf team concluded play at the Horizon League Women's Golf Championship on Monday morning. The Vikings finished in seventh place in the team standings. Cleveland State posted its lowest score of the week in the final round with a 32-over par 324.

Kaitlin Kormuth carded three birdies in her final 18 holes to post the highest individual finish for the Vikings. She closed her first Horizon League Championship appearance at 27-over par in a tie for 16th. She posted a final round of 5-over par 78, her lowest score of the week by six shots. 

Brynna Mardis also recorded a top-20 finish as she came in at 29-over, good for a tie for 20th place. Mardis carded a final round 80 on day three.

Olivia Swain concluded her college career with a T-23 individual finish. Swain carded an 83 in her final collegiate round.

Mandie Ruminski finished 28th at 35-over par for the tournament and Lola Barnett closed with a score of 36-over par to finish tied for 29th

Cleveland State concludes its season and the Vikings will return to action next fall for the 2024-25 season. Six of the seven student-athletes on the current roster are slated to return next season.
