Cleveland State Women’s Golf 15th after Day One at EKU Colonel Classic

Richmond, KY-The Cleveland State women's golf team sits in 15th place in the team standings after 36 holes at the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky. The Vikings sit at 68-over par after shooting matching scores of 34-over in each of the first two rounds.

Olivia Swain had the low 36-hole total for the Vikings on the first day. Swain fired matching scores of 7-over 79 and is in a tie for 53rd through 36 holes at 14-over par. Brynna Mardis is one shot behind after recording scores of 80-79 to finish at 15-over in a tie for 62nd place. 

Kaitlin Kormuth is tied for 73rd at 18-over par, Lola Barnett is tied for 80th at 21-over and Abby Blackburn is in 89th place at 30-over par. 

The third and final round gets underway at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow with a shotgun start. Cleveland State will tee it up on holes 13-15 to begin the day. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the day.
