Cleveland State Women’s Golf Set to Host Nevel Meade Collegiate

Prospect, KY-The Cleveland State women's golf team returns to action Monday as the Vikings play host to the Nevel Meade Collegiate at Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Kentucky.

The tournament features ten total teams competing. Cleveland State will compete alongside fellow Horizon League competitors Oakland, Youngstown State, Purdue Fort Wayne and Detroit Mercy. Indiana State, Western Michigan, Bellarmine, Evansville and UIC complete the field.

Nevel Meade Golf Club will play to a par of 72 and measure 5,953 yards for the tournament. Play begins with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start and teams will play 18 holes on each day for a 36-hole event.

This marks the first stroke play event of the Spring 2024 season for the Vikings. Cleveland State competed in a match play event with IUPUI to kick off the spring season in late February.

The Vikings lineup features a new addition, as Kaylin Kline makes her first appearance of the season. She is joined by Brynna Mardis, Kaitlin Kormuth, Lola Barnett, and Olivia Swain. Abby Blackburn will also tee it up as an individual.

Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the tournament.
