Cleveland State Women’s Golf Posts T-9 Finish at Shirley Spork EMU Invitational

Ypsilanti, MI-The Cleveland State women's golf team finished out the final round of the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational Tuesday morning. The Vikings finished at 61-over par for the three-round event.

Mandie Ruminski was the highest individual finisher for the Vikings posting a 10-over par total which was good for a tie for 18th. This is Ruminski's third consecutive top-20 finish to start the season. She tallied three birdies in posting a final round 3-over 75.

Brynna Mardis finished tied for 25th at 13-over par. Mardis closed with a 10-over 82 in the final round.

Kaitlin Kormuth finished in 42nd place overall with a total of 19-over par for the three-round event. Kormuth posted a final round 12-over 84.

Olivia Swain and Lola Barnett finished in 56th place and tied for 59th place respectively. Swain posted a final round 79 which brought her to 26-over par for the tournament. Barnett finished with a 9-over 81 to post 28-over.

Rounding out the lineup, Abby Blackburn finished at 37-over for the tournament in a tie for 67th place. She closed with a final round 85 in her first start of the season.

The Vikings will have next week off before concluding the fall season at the Dayton Flyer Invitational scheduled for October 16th and 17th.
