Boardman, OH-The Cleveland State women's golf team is set to tee it up at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational this weekend. The tournament is hosted by Youngstown State University and will take place at Mill Creek Park Golf Course in Boardman, OH. The course will play at 6,088 yards to a par of 72 for the 36-hole event.
The Vikings are making a return trip to the tournament after finishing in third place in last year's event. Cleveland State will compete alongside seven other teams, including Horizon League opponents Detroit Mercy, Northern Kentucky and host Youngstown State.
Cleveland State enters the tournament with positive momentum after carding the second-lowest score in women's program history earlier this week at the season-opening Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic. The Vikings posted a 7-over par 295 in the final round which was three shots shy of the program record.
All seven members of the Cleveland State roster will compete this weekend. The CSU lineup will feature the same five players from the opening tournament: Olivia Swain, Brynna Mardis, Mandie Ruminski, Kaitlin Kormuth and Lola Barnett. In addition, Abby Blackburn and Kaylin Kline will see their first action of the season competing as individuals.
The tournament is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start with tee times off the first hole. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the tournament.
