Cleveland State Women’s Golf in Ninth Place after Day One at Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic

Yorktown, IN-The Cleveland State women's golf team sits in ninth place after two rounds at the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State University. The Vikings posted a 44-over par total through 36 holes. The host Cardinals lead the way at 8-over through two rounds. 
 
Mandie Ruminski led the way individually for the Vikings, posting rounds of 75-74 for a 5-over par total. Ruminski is tied for 12th through 36 holes. She carded six birdies on the day, four of which came in the second round. 
 
Brynna Mardis is tied for 25th after rounds of 77-76 for a 9-over par total. Mardis played particularly well on the par-3's, finishing 1-under on those holes which is tied for the second-best mark in the field. 
 
Olivia Swain is tied for 53rd after rounds of 79-80 for a 15-over total. In addition, two Viking freshmen, making their collegiate debuts this week, were close behind. Kaitlin Kormuth is tied for 58th at 16-over par and Lola Barnett is tied for 65th at 18-over. 
 
The third and final round begins tomorrow with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. Fans can follow along on Golfstat for live scoring.
