Coffman, Knight, and Mardis Named WGCA All-American Scholars

Cleveland, OH-Three members of the Cleveland State Women's Golf team have been named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Sabrina Coffman, Lexi Knight and Brynna Mardis were recognized for their efforts on the course and in the classroom in earning spots on the team.

To qualify, student-athletes must finish with a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and compete in over 50 percent of the team's total competitive rounds through the conference championship.

Coffman was named to the Horizon League All-Academic team following the season and was recently named to the league's academic honor roll for the second consecutive semester. She graduated with her master's degree in biomedical engineering in May. She wrapped up the first ever Horizon League Individual Championship in women's golf program history and competed at NCAA Regionals. She finished the season with four top-five finishes and two tournament wins.

She has been named to the Horizon League All-Academic team twice and has earned a spot on the academic honor roll four times. She earned dean's list or president's list recognition in every semester of her collegiate career and finished with a 3.95 GPA. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology as a Pre-Med major this past May.

She finished the fall semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA and was named to the dean's list in each of her first two semesters. On the course, she recorded three top-20 finishes including a tournament win at the IUPUI Lady Jaguar Invitational.
