Coffman and Knight Earn #HLGolf All-Academic Recognition

Cleveland, OH-Sabrina Coffman and Lexi Knight each earned a spot on the Horizon League Women's Golf All-Academic team, the league office announced today. The pair join men's golf's Andrew Kaye as part of the three total honorees from the Cleveland State golf program. 

To qualify, individuals must finish with at least a 3.20 GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of team competitions throughout the season. Each individual must have completed at least one year at the institution prior to the start of the season. 

This past weekend, Coffman graduated with her master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, carrying a 3.65 GPA. She was named to the Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll following the fall semester. 

She wrapped up the program's first ever Horizon League individual championship and competed at NCAA Regionals last week. Coffman finished the season with four top-five finishes and two tournament victories. This is the first Horizon League all-academic award for Coffman, a senior from Toledo, Ohio. 

Knight, a senior from Sylvania, Ohio, earns a second consecutive nod to the all-academic team after finishing her undergraduate career with a 3.95 GPA. Knight graduated this past weekend with her bachelor's degree as a Biology(Pre-Med) major. She has earned dean's list recognition in every semester of her college career and has been named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll three times.

She was named to the President's List following the fall semester where she finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Knight also holds a leadership role on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee(SAAC). She has been a SAAC member the last two years, including serving on the executive board this past year. 

On the course, she holds an 80.2 scoring average and four top-20 finishes. She concluded the season with three consecutive tournaments inside the top 20, including her best finish of the season at the Horizon League Championship where she finished ninth overall.
