Coffman Set to Tee it Up at NCAA Westfield Regional

Westfield, IN-Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Year Sabrina Coffman has made the drive east to compete in the Westfield Regional in the 2023 NCAA Women's Golf Championship. Coffman is set to compete as an individual, alongside five additional individuals and 12 teams. All of the players will be competing to advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament scheduled for May 19-24. 

The regional consists of 54 holes over three days at the Club at Chatham Hills just outside of Indianapolis. The course will measure 6300 yards and play to a par of 72 for the tournament. Coffman will start on the 10th hole in the opening round at 9:50 a.m. She will play alongside Carmen Griffiths of Louisville and Lauren Beaudreau of Notre Dame. 

Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the tournament. Cloudy conditions are expected in the morning with a chance of rain in the afternoon. 

Coffman earned her spot in the regional after winning the first-ever Horizon League individual championship on April 25th. She comes into the tournament having finished first or tied for first in three of her last four tournaments going back to the beginning of April. She finished the league tournament with a final score of 4-over par for a three-shot victory. 

Coffman carries a 76.3 scoring average into the championship. She has finished with a 74 or better in seven of her last nine tournament rounds. 

The Club at Chatham Hills is a Pete Dye design that has played host to numerous championship events, including hosting the Indiana Open last year. 

The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team advance to the National Championship Tournament, held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Arizona.
