Cleveland State Golf Teams Set to Tee it Up at Horizon League Championship

Howey in the Hills, FL-The Cleveland State golf teams are set to compete in the Horizon League Championship tournament set to begin Sunday morning. 

The tournament will be held at Mission Inn Resort with the men playing the El Campeon course and the women competing at the Las Colinas course. Both tournaments will consist of 54 holes with 18 holes each day through Tuesday. 

Both teams are seeded fifth in their respective tournament fields. The men's field consists of 10 schools while the women's field has eight teams competing. 

The El Campeon course is one of the most tradition rich in the state. It was designed in 1917 and has played host to numerous professional events and qualifying tournaments throughout its over 100-year history. The course will play at 6,751 yards for the tournament and a par of 72. 

Both teams will play off of split tees with the men starting on the front nine and the women starting on the back in round one. The women will start at 8:50 a.m. on the Las Colinas course, which will measure 5,960 yards at a par of 72 for the tournament. 

The men will be first off of no. 1 with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. Fans can follow along on Golfstat for live scoring throughout the tournament for both teams.
