Cleveland State Women’s Golf Set to Tee it Up at EKU Colonel Classic

Richmond, KY-The Cleveland State women's golf team is set to compete this week at the EKU Colonel Classic starting Monday morning at University Club at Arlington. The tournament is hosted by Eastern Kentucky and will feature 16 participating teams.

Cleveland State is the only Horizon League team competing and the Vikings will be alongside Akron, Ball State, Butler, Dayton, Marshall and Ohio among others. Cleveland State is looking to build momentum for the upcoming Horizon League Championship tournament.

Mandie Ruminski is looking to build on her recent success as she carries back-to-back top-10 finishes into this week's competition. Ruminski finished tied for 10th in the Nevel Meade Invitational hosted by Cleveland State two weeks ago and followed that up with a tie for fifth in the NKU Spring Invitational at Elks Run Golf Club last week.

The tournament will consist of 54 holes with two rounds scheduled for tomorrow and the third and final round on Tuesday. The course at University Club at Arlington will play to a par of 72 and measure 5,986 yards.

Play begins tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Fans can follow along on Golfstat for live results throughout the tournament.
