Cleveland State Women’s Golf Fifth at NKU, Ruminski Finishes T-5

Batavia, OH-The Cleveland State women's golf team finished fifth overall in the NKU Spring Invitational. The Vikings finished with a 19-over par 303 in the second round to finish the tournament at 48-over par. Green Bay won the tournament with a final total of 24-over. 

Mandie Ruminski led the way for the Vikings finishing at 4-over par for the tournament in a tie for fifth place. Ruminski had a strong finish on the second day carding a 1-under round of 70. Ruminski carded four birdies in the round including a 34 on the back nine. 

Sabrina Coffman finished tied for 16th at 10-over par. Coffman opened with a 78 in round one but improved by four shots in the second round finishing with a 3-over 74. 

Lexi Knight also posted an improved score on day two, carding a 5-over 76. Knight finished in a tie for 30th place individually at 15-over after 36 holes. 

Olivia Swain finished tied for 42nd at 19-over par for the tournament, and Brynna Mardis ended in a tie for 58th at 27-over par. Abby Blackburn finished at 26-over in a tie for 56th place playing as an individual. 

The Vikings will next compete at the Colonel Classic in Arlington, Kentucky. The tournament is scheduled to begin next week on Monday, April 3rd.
