Cleveland State Women’s Golf Seventh after Round One of NKU Spring Invitational

Batavia, OH-The Cleveland State women's golf team sits in seventh place after the first round of the NKU Spring Invitational at Elks Run Golf Course. The Vikings shot a 29-over par 313 as a team on the day. 

Indianapolis leads the field at 13-over after the first 18 holes. The tournament continues tomorrow with the second and final round in the morning. 

Mandie Ruminski led the way for the Vikings on day one, finishing with a 5-over round of 76. Ruminski carded two birdies, one on each side, and closed with a 37 on the back nine. She is tied for 17th in the individual standings. 

Sabrina Coffman and Olivia Swain both finished with matching 78s in the first 18. Coffman was six over through the first nine holes but finished strong with a one-over 36 on the back nine. Swain shot 41 on the front side but finished with 37 on the back. Both players are tied for 29th individually. 

Lexi Knight is tied for 42nd place after a 10-over round of 81. Brynna Mardis is one shot back at 11-over and tied for 49th. Abby Blackburn, playing as an individual, is tied for 54th after a 12-over round of 83.
