Cleveland State Women’s Golf Set For Briar Ridge Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's golf team will return to action this weekend, participating in the Briar Ridge Invitational hosted by UIC. 

The 36-hole event will take place on Sunday, September 25 and Monday, September 26 at the Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville, Ind. The field will play 18 holes tee time starts on Sunday, along with an 18-hole shotgun start on Monday.

Cleveland State will be one of 10 teams competing, including Horizon League members Detroit Mercy, Green Bay, Northern Kentucky, and Purdue Fort Wayne.

The Vikings' lineup for the Briar Ridge Invitational will be Sabrina Coffman, Lexi Knight, Olivia Swain, Mandie Ruminski, and Brynna Mardis.

Earlier this month, the Vikings opened their 2022 season at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational, placing third as a team, while Sabrina Coffman placed T-2 individually to pace Cleveland State. 

2022-23 ROUND-BY-ROUND STATS

Through the first two rounds of the 2022-23 campaign, Coffman owns a team-best 72.0 scoring average, while Ruminski sits at 76.0 and Knight owns a 78.0 scoring average.
