Women’s Golf takes short trip for final tune-up at Youngstown State

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland State women's golf program will make the short trip south to Youngstown for the YSU Spring Invitational on Friday, April 13 at the Youngstown Country Club.

The tournament will serve as the final tune-up for the Vikings before the Horizon League Championships, set for Sunday, April 24 through Tuesday, April 26 at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Friday's field will include the Vikings, Penguins and the squad from Niagara University. The tournament will tee off with everyone beginning at hole No. 1 at 2 PM ET. Participants will play 18-holes in total in the one-day event, with a staggered start on the opening hole to begin the day.

Cleveland State will be represented by Sabrina Coffman, Madison Butler, Meg Rossouw, Amanda Ruminski and Lexi Knight. Olivia Swain will also take to the links as an individual.

The Vikings are looking to keep their strong Spring momentum going as the group won the Nevel Meade Collegiate, took fourth overall at the Colonel Classic and placed third at the Dolores Black Invite in their past three matches.
