Cleveland State Women’s Golf Opens Spring Slate At Motor City Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's golf team will open up the 2022 spring campaign this weekend, participating in the Motor City Cup hosted by Oakland. This weekend's two-day event will run Sunday, February 6 through Monday, February 7, and will take place in Howie-In-The-Hills, Fla. at Mission Inn Resort.

MOTOR CITY CUP BRACKET

The Motor City Cup will be a match play event, with two rounds on Sunday and one round on Monday.

Cleveland State is one of eight teams participating, joining IUPUI, UIC, Youngstown State, Northern Kentucky, Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne, and the host Grizzlies.

In Sunday's first round, the Vikings will take on Oakland, and then based on outcomes, they will face either IUPUI or UIC in the second round.

This weekend's Motor City Cup will be the first of six events for the Vikings this spring, culminating with the Horizon League Championships April 24 – 26.

Mission Inn Resort will be a familiar golf course for the Vikings, as this is also the host course for the #HLGolf Championships.
