Cleveland State Women's Golf to Participate in Golden Grizzlies Invitational

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State women's golf team is set to compete in their third tournament of the fall beginning on Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational.

  • Course: Katke-Cousins Golf Course | 7,225 yards | Par 72
  • Location: Rochester, MI
  • Tournament Format: 18 holes on Sunday, Shotgun start 18 on Monday
  • Participating Teams: CMU, CSU, UDM, UD, EMU, PFW, OU

The first round of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational will begin at noon on Sunday.

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN
Cleveland State ended the two-day, 54-hole, Cardinal Classic +52 (304-310-302 - 916), jumping up a spot from the first day to the second.

Madison Butler (T8) and Sabrina Coffman (10) led the way for the Vikings, both nabbing top 10 finishes. Butler ended her time at the Cardinal Classic shooting +10 (74-79-73 - 226), while Coffman finished one stroke behind at +11 (72-78-77 - 227). Butler had an impressive final 18 holes, as the senior jumped 12 spots on Tuesday (T20 to T8). The Medina, Ohio, native finished Tuesday's last round +1, going even on the back nine.

Meg Rossouw wrapped up the Cardinal Classic T21 (77-77-77 - 231), moving up one spot from the first 36 holes. She had an impressive front nine shooting E, which included a birdie on the first hole.

Olivia Swain shot +18 (81-76-77 - 234), finishing T33. Swain recorded a team-high four birdies on the day, each time on back-to-back holes (8, 9 and 14, 15).

Alex Jakins finished T50 after shooting +23 (80-80-79 - 239), while Lexi Knight finished T59 shooting +26 (86-81-75 - 242).
