Cleveland State Women's Golf Heads to Cardinal Classic

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State women's golf team heads to the Cardinal Classic on Monday and Tuesday.

The last time out on the links, the Cleveland State women's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the fall season on Tuesday, Sept. 14, finishing the Roseann Schwartz Invitational in third place. 

Three Green and White golfers finished in the top 20 at the conclusion of the event: T5 Sabrina Coffman (75-73-148 +4), T15 Madison Butler (76-77-153, +9), T18 Meg Rossouw (77-77-154, +10).

Coffman began the Roseann Schwartz in 10th place, jumping up five spots to finish T5. The senior's round of 73 marked a team-low and tied her for the fourth-lowest score of any round amongst any of the golfers competing.

Butler dropped one spot between the first adn second day, finishing her opening tournament T15, shooting nine-over-par. Right behind Butler was Meg Rossouw who recorded a 10-over-par two-day outing. Rossouw jumped two spots, starting T20 and ending T18.

Lexi Knight concluded the invitational T28 (78-78-156, +12), while Olivia Swain rounded out the Vikings T31 (74-84-158, +14).

Cleveland State's third-place finish topped its best finish of the 2020-21 spring season (4 of 5).
