CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Cleveland State women's golf team finished its first day of the Islander Classic in 10^th place out of 14 teams on Monday, Feb. 25.

RESULTS

ROUND ONE RECAP:

Madison Butler finished the first day tied for 35^th after scoring 157. Averi Hanna sits 10 spots behind Butler, tied for 45^th. After shooting 83 in the first round, the freshman notched a five-stroke improvement in the second round, shooting 78, finishing the day with an overall score of 161.

Lexi Knight finished the first two rounds with a score of 163, tied for 51^st. Junior Ashley Knight heads into the second day of the Islander Classic tied for the 57^th spot, after notching a score of 165 in the opening day.

Meg Rossouw rounds out the Vikings, sitting four spots behind Knight tied at 61 and scoring 166 in the first day.
