Neumeister Shares Nike Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Week Honors

INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State junior Kaylee Neumeister has been named the Co-Nike Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Youngstown State Invitational the league office announced on Wednesday.

Neumeister shared the weekly honor with Katlyn Shutt of Youngstown State after the two players tied for medalist honors at the Youngstown State Spring Invitational last Saturday.

Neumeister fired an even-par 72 at the Youngstown Country Club to finish deadlocked with Shutt for the top spot in the medalist standings. Led by Neumeister, Cleveland State finished second in the team standings with a score of 308.

This marks the second career Horizon League honor for Neumeister after also having won the award during the 2016-17 season.

Cleveland State returns to action on Sunday-Tuesday (April 21-23) at the Horizon League Championships at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
