Kelner's 74 Leads Vikings at First Round of Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Sophie Kelner shot a two-over-par 74 and is tied for fourth place after the opening round of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational that began on Saturday at the par-72, 5,960-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club.

Kelner's 74 helped CSU to a round of 319, putting the Vikings in sixth place in the 10 team field after the opening 18 holes.

Kelner is just one shot off the first round lead behind a trio of golfers who shot 73 today.

Ohio leads the field with a first round 305, seven shots ahead of Central Michigan. The trio of host Bowling Green, Oakland and Findlay shot 318 and are tied for third place, just one shot ahead of CSU. UIC is in seventh at 322 and is followed by Detroit Mercy (329), Lawrence Tech (335) and Ferris State (336).

Kaylee Neumeister is tied for 13th with an opening round 79, while Emily Turski shot 82 and is tied for 30th place. Ellie Cronin is tied for 40th with an 84 and Rayna Oosterhuis shot 85 and is tied for 48th.

Brooke Ciccone, who is playing as an individual, shot 83 and is tied for 36th place.

The final round of the event will be played on Sunday.
