CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team will compete in their final tournament before the Horizon League Championship when the Vikings compete in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (April 12-13).

The 36 hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 5,960-yard Stone Ridge G.C. in Bowling Green, Ohio, with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. both days.

In addition to CSU, the 15 team field includes Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Bowling Green "B", Chicago State, Detroit, Eastern Michigan, UIC, UPFW, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Ohio, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.

The Vikings are coming off a tie for sixth place at the Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky., on Friday and Saturday (April 4-5), which continued a strong showing this season. That finish came on the heels of back-to-back runner-up finishes for the Vikings at the Benbow Invitational and Butler Spring Invitational.

Following an opening round 329 at the Colonel Classic, CSU carded a final round 314, tied for the second lowest team score this year.

Allyson Hackman led the way with rounds of 81-79 (160) and tied for 25th place, while Micaela Cronin and Madeline Kaminski tied for 37th place. Cronin shot 78-85, while Kaminski carded rounds of 85-78 at the event.

Hackman continues to lead the team with a 79.4 scoring average, putting her on pace to become just the third player in school history to have a scoring average under 80.0 in a season. She would join Katie Broere, who holds the school record with a 78.5 average in 2998-09, and Ariel Sparrow, who averaged 79.0 last season.

Shelly Ford is second on the squad with an 80.8 average and has posted two top-five finishes this year, including a co-medalist honor at the Butler Spring Invitational.

Hackman and Ford both have four top-20 finishes this year.

Cronin (82.6), Kaminski (84.2) and Colleen Miller (85.6) round out CSU's lineup, while Steff Camarata (92.1) has played as an individual this spring.

The Dolores Black Falcon Invitational will lead into the Horizon League Championship which will be contested from April 25-27 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

CSU placed third at the league championship last year.
