Stephanie Mentz-Bruce will begin her third season on the sidelines with the Cleveland State women’s basketball team during the 2018-19 campaign and her seventh season as a collegiate coach.

Mentz-Bruce joined the Vikings after a four-year stint at Notre Dame College where she served as an assistant coach from 2012-15 and as an associate head coach during the 2015-16 season. During her four years with the Falcons, Mentz-Bruce helped NDC post a 67-48 record, including a pair of 20-win seasons during 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Prior to her time with the Falcons, Mentz-Bruce spent 13 years as an assistant and head coach at the high school level, spending time at four various schools around the Cleveland area, ending at Midpark High School where she posted an 85-49 record during six seasons as the head coach.

During her time at Midpark, Mentz-Bruce was named the Southwestern Conference Coach of the Year three times, and was also named the District Coach of the Year during her tenure.

A Cleveland native, Mentz-Bruce is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College.
