CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the fourth straight season the Cleveland State women's basketball team will be making a postseason appearance, as the Vikings are set to open play in the 2024 WBIT on Thursday, March 21.
Cleveland State will begin play in the inaugural WBIT with a first round matchup at Toledo on Thursday.
2024 WBIT BRACKET
This will be the 28th meeting between the two teams, with Toledo owning an 18-9 record in the overall series, with the latest matchup coming during the 2018-19 campaign.
Cleveland State enters WBIT play with a 29-5 record on the year, most recently advancing to the championship game of the Horizon League tournament.
The winner of the Cleveland State/Toledo matchup will advance to the second round to face the winner of the Florida/St. John's contest on Sunday, March 24.
2024 marks the first season for the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament, and features a 32-team field. The first three rounds will be held on campus sites, while the semifinals and championship will be held at Butler University on April 1 & 3.
