Perdue & Maples Named To #HLWBB All-Tournament Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After leading Cleveland State to its third straight Horizon League Championship appearance earlier this week, the women's basketball duo of Colbi Maples and Mickayla Perdue was named to the 2024 #HLWBB All-Tournament Team. 

Maples and Perdue helped the Vikings to an 88-78 quarterfinal victory over No. 9 Northern Kentucky and an 83-50 win against No. 4 Wright State in the semifinals, before coming up short in the championship contest against second-seeded Green Bay. 

Through three tournament games, Maples averaged 22.3 points per game while shooting 51-percent from the floor (26-for-51). Maples tallied double-digit points in all three games, including a season-best 31-point effort against Northern Kentucky in the quarterfinals.  

With 14 points against Wright State in the semifinals, Maples eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her career, while she finished #HLWBB Tournament play ranked eighth in the CSU Single-Season Record Book with 570 total points on the year. 

Perdue averaged 16.3 points per game during #HLWBB Tournament play, including a 24-point effort against Northern Kentucky in the quarterfinals for her 14th 20-point performance of the season. After playing 103 of a possible 120 minutes during the three games, Perdue knocked down a team-best eight three-pointers while also adding four steals and seven assists.  

At the end of #HLWBB Tournament play, Perdue ranks sixth in the CSU Single-Season Record Book with 576 total points on the year, while also ranking fourth with 78 made three-pointers.
