Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Falls At Green Bay, 64-49

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Cleveland State women's basketball team dropped just its third contest in Horizon League play Thursday, falling at Green Bay 64-49 in a matchup between the top two teams in the #HLWBB standings.

GAME STATS
-Jordana Reisma led the Viking offense with 11 points, while Destiny Leo added 10 points.
-Amele Ngwafang grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, with Brittni Moore chipping in six boards.
-As a team, the Vikings recorded 12 assists on the game, including three from Destiny Leo.
-The Cleveland State defense notched five blocked shots, with three coming from Jordana Reisma.

GAME NOTES
-Jordana Reisma recorded multiple blocked shots in a game for the 12th time this season after finishing with three at Green Bay.
-With 10 points against the Phoenix, Destiny Leo recorded double-digit points for the 27th time this season.
-Thursday's game was a matchup between the top two teams in the Horizon League standings.

THE GAME
After a back-and-forth first half, the Vikings were able to take a slight two-point lead into the halftime break, as a trio of Destiny Leo free throws put Cleveland State up 27-25 after the first 20 minutes of action.

Although Green Bay was able to get on the board first during the third quarter, a Deja Williams three-pointer at the 9:07 mark regained a 30-27 lead for the Vikings. Cleveland State then extended its lead to 32-27 with a pair of Leo free throws a few possessions later, but a 5-0 run from the Phoenix knotted the score once again at 32-32.

On Cleveland State's next trip down the floor Brittni Moore converted a three-pointer to put the Vikings back up 35-32, before another five straight points from Green Bay gave a slight two-point edge to the Phoenix at 37-35 with 3:52 left on the clock. The Vikings once again responded with a three-pointer, as Williams put the advantage back in Cleveland State's favor on the ensuing possession.

Green Bay was then able to close out the frame on a 8-5 run, with a Carmen Villalobos three-pointer as time expired putting the score at 45-43 Green Bay heading into the final 10 minutes of action.

The Phoenix were then able to control play throughout the final 10 minutes, as Green Bay outscored the Vikings 19-6 during the final frame, coming away with the 64-49 victory.
