Last time out, the Vikings got back in the win column with a convincing 85-65 victory at Oakland, moving into fourth place in the #HLWBB standings with four games left to play.

The Viking offense was led by the trio of Destiny Leo, Nadia Dumas and Gabriella Smith, including a pair of 20-point performances from Leo and Dumas. Leo finished with a team-high 24 points, while Dumas tallied a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds against the Grizzlies. Smith added 15 points for the Vikings, including a trio of three-pointers – her fifth game with three shots from behind-the-arc this season.

Along with Dumas, Amele Ngwafang also tallied double-digit rebounds, finishing with a season-high 14 boards on the game. Dumas and Ngwafang were part of a Cleveland State team that notched 50 rebounds against Oakland, marking the third 50-rebound performance of the season for the Vikings. Eighteen of these boards were offensive rebounds, which led to 23 second chance points for Cleveland State, as the Vikings held a 23-7 edge in the category against Oakland.

Cleveland State currently leads the league in four statistical categories as a team, including scoring (71.4 ppg) and rebounding (41.4 rpg), while Leo leads the league in scoring individually (18.5 ppg) and Amele Ngwafang ranks seventh as CSU's top rebounder (7.2 rpg).

Saturday's game will be the first of a back-to-back series against the Titans for Cleveland State, as they announced earlier this week that the two teams will also be facing each other on Monday, February 21 in a make-up game from earlier this season.

Detroit Mercy enters Saturday's game standing at 1-24 overall this season and 1-17 in Horizon League play, most recently dropping a 77-62 contest against Purdue Fort Wayne. The Titans picked up their first win of the campaign last weekend, as they earned a 63-61 victory at UIC.

With just four games left in regular season play, the Vikings are in the mix to host an #HLWBB First Round or Quarterfinal game, with first round contests being played on Tuesday, March 1 and quarterfinal action taking place on Thursday, March 3.
