Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Falls At Robert Morris, 63-55

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team returned to Horizon League play Thursday evening, dropping a 63-55 contest at Robert Morris.

Game Stats
Destiny Leo led the Viking offense with 22 points, while Nadia Dumas added 15.
Barbara Zieniewska grabbed 11 rebounds, while Nadia Dumas tallied seven and Gabriella Smith added six.
Barbara Zieniewska posted a team-high four steals.
Deja Williams and Barbara Zieniewska both notched two assists on the game.

Game Notes
• With 22 points against RMU, Destiny Leo has now tallied 20+ points in six games this season.
Barbara Zieniewska notched her third double-digit rebounding performance after finishing with 11 against RMU.
Nadia Dumas has now posted 15+ points in the last three games, after finishing right on the number tonight.
• Thursday's game marked the first meeting between the two teams as Horizon League opponents. 

The Game
After heading into the halftime break trailing by seven at the 33-26 mark, the Vikings posted a 7-0 run to begin the third quarter, capped off by a Destiny Leo jumper that tied the contest at 33-33 less than three minutes into the frame.  

Back-to-back three-pointers from Robert Morris put the Colonials back on top 39-33 at the 4:32 mark of the third quarter, before RMU was able to extend its lead back to double-digits at 45-35 before the end of the frame. 

RMU was then able to hold a sizeable advantage over the first part of the fourth quarter, until Cleveland State posted 11 straight points midway through the frame, to close the gap to 54-47 following a pair of baskets from Nadia Dumas and Leo.  

That would be as close as the Vikings would get though, as RMU controlled play throughout the final minutes of the contest, coming away with the 63-55 victory.
