Faith Burch Set To Join Women’s Basketball For 2021-22 Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's basketball head coach Chris Kielsmeier has announced the addition of Faith Burch (Warren, Ohio) for the 2021-22 campaign, as she has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Cleveland State University beginning next Fall.

"We are ecstatic about Faith joining the Cleveland State women's basketball family," Kielsmeier said. "Faith brings so much versatility on both ends of the floor. Her length and athleticism will fit right in to our defensive system; not to mention how that will allow her to create offensively in multiple areas on the floor."

Burch has spent her prep career at Harding High School where she is set to become a four-year letterwinner for the Raiders.

As a junior last year, Burch led Warren to a 22-3 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 mark in the All-American Conference Red Tier. Averaging 15.8 points and 15.0 rebounds per game as a junior, Burch led all Red Tier players in rebounding, along with posting a league-high 32 total blocked shots.

"In addition to her physical attributes, Faith's skill set on the block, midrange slashing and her ability to knock down jumpers will make her difficult to defend. With a family history of competitors, we're excited to add Faith's competitive attitude, toughness and work ethic that she will display throughout her collegiate career," Kielsmeier added.

Following the 2019-20 campaign, Burch was named the Trumbull County and All-American Conference Red Tier Player of the Year, while also earning a spot on the All-County, All-District and All-Conference First Teams, and All-Ohio Third Team.

Burch, who will begin her senior campaign with the Raiders later this month, is on track to record 1,000 career points during her final season at Harding High School.
