Bornstein & Kline Join Women’s Basketball Staff

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's basketball head coach Chris Kielsmeier completed his staff for the upcoming 2019-20 season Tuesday, as Lauren Bornstein will be joining the Vikings as the Director of Basketball Operations and Celia Kline joins CSU as the Graduate Manager.

"I'm extremely excited to welcome Lauren and Celia as the final pieces to our women's basketball staff for the upcoming season," Kielsmeier said. "Both Lauren and Celia bring a wide skill set that will no doubt help our program continue to move forward on and off the court. I really look forward to working with them both."

Bornstein, who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, comes to Cleveland State following stints with the BIG EAST Conference Office, Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics.

During her three seasons with the Wizards and Mystics, Bornstein spent two as the Basketball Operations Intern and one as the Sales Event Planning Intern, while she served as the Basketball Operations Assistant during her time with the BIG EAST.

Bornstein graduated from the University of Florida, where she served as a student manager for the women's basketball team.

Kline, who will be responsible for a variety of gameday duties along with assisting in the day-to-day operations of the basketball office, joins the Vikings following a four-year career at Transylvania University.

During her time at Transylvania, Kline was a three-time All-HCAC honoree and helped the Pioneers to a regular season and tournament championship as a senior.

Kline was actively involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during her collegiate career, while also taking part in the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum and NCAA Career in Sports Forum.

Bornstein and Kline will begin their duties immediately.
